This has been a good year. If you can, get out there and bag one. First bird taken was in San Diego County, and the second was taken in Tulare County. I'll give you an update on this weekends coming hunt. Should be good.
In California the hours are half hour before sunrise till 4pm. Limit is three turkeys for the season. Nice thing about bow season is that it extends the season for approximately another three weeks post shotgun season.
Sure did. We called in a nice turkey opening morning to within 35 yards. My friend placed a perfect arrow and down it went. I got another this past Saturday, also with a bow.
I had the AMV on my Disco II for @ 4 years. No problems with it, that is until part of the plastic gears blew up. Replaced it with a DI shifter. No worries now. I think I saved the AMV if anyone wants to but it for spare parts.
Other than the normal scrapes from rocks on the underside, the bumper is in excellent shape. The Trek bumper uses the OEM bumper bolts (2 located in rear) as well as two vertical support struts, which are included. I can supply the nuts and bolts for the support struts, but they can be picked...
Have a rear DII Trek bumper for sale. This is the original, and not the extreme version. Which, imo, is a better bumper. I am located in So. California. Asking price is $650.00
Oh, I just had to chime in on this one. I also, as Ho did, have a bag blow out while offroading. While on the Miller Jeep Trail in SoCal the whole top of the bag blew off. I also had @10K. Wood blocks got me out. I soon traded out the bags for springs and couldn't be happier.
