If the clicking sound is new and is coming from the valves I would suspect that you have more then a bad sending unit and low oil pressure. Coud be the pump ... also check your breather hoses to see if they are clogged. If so, it can indicate sludge build up in the motor.

Looking for a good set of stock fog lights and the front and rear winshield wiper linkage. The front wiper linkage can be with or with out motor but the spindles must turn freely. Thanks! narinder narinder@nb.aibn.com

wd40, liquid wrench, rust check ...anything I could get my hands on. I will pick up a can of PB Blaster and give it a try .... I hate to buy a new assembly when the wiper motor works great.

I removed my 1997 Disco front wiper motor and linkage to find the passenger side spindle seized. I tried to work in penetrating oil and it has improved but still doesn't spin freely. Is it possible to take apart the spindle to clean off the rust etc.....

Your linkage may be seized up. I had the same type of problem and on disassenbly discovered that the passenger side spindle was seized up. I'm trying to free it now but it looks ike I'm into buying a new wiper assembly...motor and all.

I have a 97 Disco that refuses to start in the mornings or if I let it sit for an extended period of time. I will crank it and it will almost starts but no go.
