Does anyone know of a source for a custom 17" rim that will fit over the HSE calipers (19" rims were standard)? I am assuming they might need to be combined with a spacer?
Hey Gem,
I just wanted to point out that $575 is MSRP in Canada for the GY 19" MT/R's. I got mine at Discount Tire in SLC for $285 each balanced and installed. Still not cheap but those of us running 19" do not have many choices.
Yup. Couldn't say no to that offer. At the time I was one of the few people wanting to run such an aggressive tire on an LR3 so it was a supply and demend thing. It also helps keeping me singing the praises of my dealership (Cowell Motors in Richmond, BC).
My HSE came stock with 19". And since I was able to source 6 almost new MT/R's for $500.00 total mounted, balanced and installed by my dealership it was a no-brainer. I would keep the 19" rims if I could get more MT/R's at a reasonable price.
I run the 19" GY MT/R's and have for a good 2 years. They are great tires. Bullet-proof sidewalls, long tread life, deep lugs and an aggressive look that "mans-up" the somewhat feminine look of the LR3.
There are, however, downsides.
? Cost from the UK or Germany will run $500 - $600 USD...
Wow! I didn't actually think it was possible to make it heavier! My HSE with the HD package, winch and some aftermarket sliders weighs in at 6000 lbs already. Maybe they should offer the supercharged motor to compensate for the bloated engineering.
Actually I am sure that Louisiana AND Quebec are both closer to VA than to Vancouver. So you, sir, are more likely to have had some French in you! I have seen Deliverance, you know. Can you squeal like a pig? I am of nearly pure Swedish ancestry. If you have any red hair in your family my...
Did I post in French? I am LR3invancouver. Is Vancouver in Quebec or in France? Sorry, that is an unfair question as it requires knowledge of the world outside of VA. No. I am not French. Are you inbred? Sorry again. That means "Is yo momma and yo papa related by blood?"
A breath of fresh..............air?
I haven't been on this board for a while but upon returning all I can say is that I have a renewed respect for the immense linguistic capabilities of some of the people of VA. Really though, It isn't fair to challenge people like that. It is just mean. You...
I have a complete black leather 3rd row seats that have never even been sat upon. You may need a few minor parts but the seats are completely like brand new. They are located in Vancouver Canada. If you are interested in them email me at rayirvine@shaw.ca

That's more like it reelpain! Let's all join forces and do something together....bash those LR3 owners who pimp out their LR3's! I say we round up all the ones without lockers first and cast them into the firepit of hell they deserve! Who's with me? LOL!
I do not understand the anger over some truck parts. I have not seen the Rasta's installed in person. From their web page they look OK. I considered them before making my choice. I choose the Rover Specialties from offroving.com. Unless reelpain, you have seen pre-production sets of these...
A radio is a definate must. Especially if you are wheeling alone (which is not advised if you are going far or into remote rough terraine areas). As for where best to mount gear, the back of these trucks have lots of cargo space. I can store a Jackall, spare tire, shovel, winch accessories...
JSQ,
Why so hostile? JWEST has a nice truck. And I suspect a truck as capable as most Rovers on the road (regardless of mods). You clearly do not appreciate the new Rovers. Fine. We don't really care that you don't like our trucks. Why do you read an LR3 forum anyway? I don't like Hummers...
I was on that run. Great guys and a really well built truck. They took an aggressive line went hard at it and paid a price. The damage seemed to be minimal and restricted to the body. But who am I to talk I took an easier line to avoid just that kind of damage. Anyway hope to see them in...
Great shots! We did Black Bear but were disapointed by the lack of chalenging terrain although the views were stunning. I guess it doesn't always have to be about body damage.....
Michelle and I just got back and got our photos organized. Here is a link to our LRNR trip from Vancouver to...
