x2, I'm with crown14 on this one. Only becuase I did the same thing but corrected the problem before reassembly. It is easy to overlook the front stamp, especially if it's dirty or covered in residual fluid, and put it on backwards.
I got the actual ACE light, truck with the arrows. The SLS light shows the truck with an arrow behind it. When they go into a fault they light up red and give a gong sound just like when you first start it up. The amigos, in my experience, should clear itself when you fix whatever has gone...
I'm no expert but, I have been doing everything I can to keep the ACE. Personally, I would swap the fluid and change the filter to see if that helps out. It may or may not help. I once had a problem with my truck leaning and fault codes. After alot of troubeshooting it was fixed by bleeding...
I was told that a new cover will only delay the problem. The oil pump will still self destruct. Also, mine went out at approx. 52k miles and it was stil covered. On the TSB there is no mileage limit. I would still shoot for the new engine. Something to consider.
Mine was out of warranty and out of the country. It took some fighting but LRNA eventually did fit the bill and I got my new engine. Good luck, I don't know how the new owners (Tata) will support this.
I get the 1172 and 1175 when I'm in traffic for a while. My previous location had some pretty bad gas and I would throw those codes everytime I refueled. Now, back in the good ole USA I have been using texaco exclusively and I rarely see the codes come back. I was told winter gas, or bad gas...
This is going to hurt. If it is the ACE pump then you have to replace the whole pump. And they are quite expensive. Believe me I tried to source all the seals and gaskets and such in an attempt to rebuild it. The damn thing never worked right and was even noisier than before. Not to mention...
Thanks for all the info. I have heard something about fort story. I'll look into it and let everyone know. I will be at GWNF this march, that should handle my "fix". Thanks again and see you in march.
bt punch, steam blanket...All that stuff is considerd hazing now. What a crock. The Navy has gotten far too soft.
On another note-where can I find some trails around here? I'm planning on going to the ROAV event in March but thats a ways away.
So, I keep hearing about these trails in a place called Pungo. Everybody is talking about this place but, no one knows exactly how to get there. I'm starting to think it's like bowling alleys on aircraft carriers, a wild goose chase. Can anyone help me out here? As far as I know it's...
