I'd say something needs adjusting, that type of mileage is not typical unless restricted to only around town. I usually get 16.5 - 17 MPG on the highway. I had changed plugs, wires, and fluids and made sure my timing was correct on my 1998 D1 with 110K miles on it. Let us know what you find out.
Thanks guys. If you find the plug PT, please let me know. Meanwhile I shall pursue Jim's lead. While I am doing all that I will again check to see if there is some way to take apart the plug and splice in some other wires, but I am not hopeful on that one. Of course this happens just days...
Anyone have some suggestions regarding best procedure to replace one multiport plug and wires to an injector? It seems this past week a squirrel got into the engine compartment on our 1998 DI and made a nest on the engine. The stinking critter ate through the two wires to one of the injectors...
Yeah, that's why I'm getting them. My son doesn't care too much about looking "ghetto", but he does like that they will hide the deteriorating leather on his '98 Disco. (college kids, what can you say?)
