YOU WROTE:
LOL, the level of expertise required to put a P-W engine into a MiG far exceeds that required to do an engine swap in a DII
RESPONSE:
Allow me to retort. Hardly. The P&W is a practical bolt in. I would say the DII re-engine is an equally or even more difficult project.
YOU...
You are right. I dont NEED your input but I was WANTING to have it considering my minimal level of expertise on the DII.
Thank you for all the constructive input and ideas. I'll put them to good use as I decide how to proceed with my project. In the end, if the project fails miserably...

RESPONSE:

2. More power
3. Reliability
4. Ability to effect repairs in West Texas with local suppliers especially where I live
5. To see if it can be done

They just aren't beefy enough for the wight of a D. I was given eight of them and they ALL ended up being bent sideways.
I have Pro-Comps and...
My 01 DII has had it. I have read several threads but want to consolidate the info here.
I want to swap for a better gas engine set up. It is my intent to replace the engine and tranny to a more common setup. I would like to have EFI and keep the LT230 but am prepared to change that also...
