Done that when designing the lowering rods, and it's the front that's close. On my Sport it'll bounce back if it's 20mm or more below access height.

I've got two LR's on the 19" Hankook ATM RF-10 (their revised version of the older ATM). 111 load rating and fairly quiet. Good off-road traction, similar to the Mickey Thompson STZ's (although they're in 18").

Given there's only 20mm or so between access height and the bump stop height, with these spacers in can you still get to access height? Or does the car bounce back into extended?

Gordon
Hmm, upon re-reading my jet-lagged post, I'd have to agree that it makes bugger-all sense :o
I just pasted a few lines together from previous responses that seemed appropriate - at the time - which was late - and it was hot - and I'd run out of beer. My apologies.
I think what my muddied mind...
The issue is where to set the isolator's cut-in/cut-out voltages. The D3's "smart charging" regime uses a pwm signal from the ECU to the alternator to request more charge to the battery. The system doesn't work at the normal "12v" levels (hence the calcium-hybrid battery, which can accept charge...
There's been an issue with the rear locker for the D4/LR4, and ARB are advising their dealers over here not to sell them until it's rectified. Not sure why it doesn't also affect the D3/LR3?
Cheers,
Gordon
I have a client who's had one for 12 months and loves it - it does seem simpler and easier to use than my Faultmate MSV2, but perhaps not quite as much coverage, although the LR3/4 coverage is still good.
The bluetooth version allows you to use a smart phone/tablet. Gives you programmatic...
Note for an LR4, the 17" BMW rims ONLY fit the 2.7 ltr diesel - which you don't get in the US, right? Will fit a V6 LR3, but not sure about the V8.

Gordon
If the car has the 4WD info screen (part of the sat-nav package), then when in Rock-crawl low-range, the diff icons will change from green to red whenever they lock. Note that just having a rear green diff icon doesn't mean that you have the locker - only if it changes colour.

How do you manage off-road on those tyres without a suspension lift?
Back to the OP's question, I've fitted:
1. GOE air compressor protection plate + transmission plate
2. GOE rock-sliders + stand-off bars
3. GOE two-position EAS height sensor rods
4. Maxxis Bighorn LT275/65R18 tyres
That's...
ETC on the D3/LR3 is a set of completely different algorithms working through a different set of controllers. Terrain response can then be used to fine-tune traction requirements. Vastly different to the D2, no matter what year.

Gordon
06 onwards (and any LR3 that has had all updates applied) should be relatively free of electrical gremlins. 08 onwards used a split CANBUS system, improving reliability further. The newer compressors (which all LR3's should have had updated) have proven very reliable - the dryer may (rarely)...
They may be somewhat removed from the older designs (D1, Series etc), but they're still Land Rovers. You still get sneered at by 'Yota drivers and then abused when you don't pull them out ;)

Well, if you're listening, perhaps you don't understand what you're listening to? You asked:
which is a meaningless comment in this context - the suspension is _not_ in extended mode. The air system has nothing to do with this sort of lift. So there is _no_ additional load on the compressor...
You're not listening to him - the height is not gained from increasing the air-bag pressure. He's getting it from something like using suspension mount spacers, or modifying the attachment points. I've tried the former, and yes, there are some camber issues and it twitches a little at speed, but...
It was your last comment about "stiffer spring rates" - I don't see how the electronic module can accomplish that, other than the normal spring-height -> pressure relationship? All it does AFAIK, is modify the incoming sensed voltages from the height sensors. Whereas they _do_ make a...
I think you're confusing two different products. Matzker make an electronic module that piggy-backs onto the EAS module and allows additional control of the pre-set heights (by varying the air-spring pressure).
They also make an uprated air-spring unit that claims to be stiffer than the std...
Already tried spacers - with 2", handling turns to crap, even if you do a wheel re-alignment. It's all right for a temporary lift, but it's tiresome swapping it in and out.You really need to look at re-aligning the diffs and lower control arms as well.

Gordon
