This is one headache...... The trans has no reverse or drive. The gear display in the instrument cluster does not match the gear selector. The Spicer u-joints we use are made in the UK, marketed by GKN. Slightly pricey at $40.00 each, my guess due to the lousy exchange rate.

There is a bulliten for water intrusion, will give you alot of insight. One way to check windshield seal and door seal leaks is using a water hose. A/C drains are above the tranny, can be seen with a flash light. If the ends are still on the tubes just remove them. They cause more harm then good

Here in SoCali the average dealer rate is $120 and average indie is $95. So a charge of 500 to 600 is average here though it does seem steep for ignition wire replacement. If you have an afternoon, a case of beer and friends with small hands........
