I thought the oil filter was loose, but it was not. I noticed it looked like it was coming from on top of the filter housing{adapter}. Could it be the front seal? If so is it a major job? Thx for any response.

My '96 is the same way, remove the upper fan shroud and the tensioner is right there. I used a big pry bar/screw driver and was able to jam it between the tensioner and pull hard and bingo you have all kinds of slop in the belt to remove it. Ron
