    Leaking steering gearbox

When I did the box on my Disco 1, I removed it from the truck. I think that was easier than an in-truck install would've been. I never did see how long the seals lasted. The truck was totalled within 20k miles but wasn't leak at that point. Does Meridian sell to the public? I've heard they...

    Teenager Vehicle

Save the Classics! Good Classics are getting harder to find. Give him a P38 and if he earns a Classic by taking good care of the P38, give him one. Of course, you may run the risk of him dis-owning you for all of the extra maintenance and work you give him.:D

    Towing

I have a '93 LWB 4.2 that has pulled horse trailers from Texas to Mississippi & Oklahoma as well as trips to Pennsylvania & Maryland. It's equipped with trailer brakes that help some. We've pulled 2 Welsh Mountain ponies (500-ish lbs. each) at the same time along with a driving cart, tack, 2...

Texas Rovers invites you to attend: SCARR 2008

Since Friday night, the Rover has a new power steering hose, engine & trans mounts, tie rod to remount the steering stabilizer to the front, tie rod ends, tracking rod, most fluids changed & I think I'm ready (although I'm bringing a few extra maintenance items just in case). See you late...

    92' Rover, swaping out ABS?

And the Motive Brake Bleeder works like a champ. If that doesn't do it, check w/ PT Schram. I just bought a rebuilt pump from him and he has the same warranty as the dealer for 1/2 the cost. If you have to replace the pump, you'll also need to replace the two pump relays to make the warranty...

    93 or 95

I enjoyed my D1 but, personally, I like the '93 dash much better although the a/c on the '95 is adjustable for the passenger & mine isn't. I've had a couple of airbags go off in my face, which destroyed a pair of sunglasses & a watch as it was ripped off my arm & tossed out the window but I'm...

    1975 RRC build

Pardon my ignorance but what is the shift lever immediately to the left of the cubby between the seats? I see what I thought the was transfer case lever to the right of the shifter. Cool ride. Best of luck.

Texas Rovers invites you to attend: SCARR 2008

I'm pretty sure Hoberg & fs disco II aren't coming but fs dII & grey goose's dad'll be there. Sean D & Max are also coming. I think that's it from San Antonio.

Texas Rovers invites you to attend: SCARR 2008

Well, I was talking to William (Grey Goose) this morning and couldn't resist the chance to razz him a bit. It goes against my grain not to tease when given the proper opportunity.

I'll see if I can translate. He thinks his dad's going to s**t because of how far he can go before getting stuck. Dad & No. 2 son went 2 years ago & didn't have much fun because their traction control wasn't working - I keep telling him thousands of Series, early RRC's & D1's are still...

    pressure testing a/c line

I had a leak and went to an auto a/c repair shop. For $35 apiece, they rebuilt my hoses and sold me a dryer for about $50-60. I don't remember but it was a helluva lot cheaper than what the usual suspects wanted.

1994 Range Rover LWB Diesel in Bend, OR

He's only owned it since 12/07 and those "electrical idiosyncrasies" are probably driving him nuts. He may finally have taken pen and paper to the initial cost versus fuel savings and realized it's going to take him years, if not decades, of driving to break even, hoping he has no other costs...

    Borg warner

Doesn't the BW have a chain versus the LT 230 being gear to gear, which should be stronger/more reliable?

    95 LWB Stereo?

My error. I was referring to '93-'94 and didn't pay attention to mlwilm's year model.

    95 LWB Stereo?

If the rear speakers above the tailgate still sound fine but the rest aren't working, it's the amplifier. The rear speakers are run through the radio, while the front speakers (tweeters and round door speakers) go through the amplifier. I found a used one through drillbit who posts on D-Web.
