    Welcome to the new DiscoWeb

Those particular pictures in my thread were attached using the old DiscoWeb attach files button for that exact reason.

    Welcome to the new DiscoWeb

Seems like I don't see them in any posts I look at. I was mostly looking in the for sale sections. At first I thought maybe people just don't post pictures of their trucks or items anymore but then I looked at my own for sale thread from last year and I can't see the pictures that I know I...

    Welcome to the new DiscoWeb

I like the new look, still getting used to the new functionality but like it overall I do have a questions though. Are all the old attached pictures gone? I was looking through some old threads and posts and noticed I can't see any of the old pictures. Not sure if this is the site or my settings.

    1995 Custom DI Truggy

They are 8x6.5 redrilled to 5x6.5. There was a thread on this on either D90 or Pirate back in the day. I would take pictures for you but since you've already made it clear you're not in the market....:flipoff2:

    1995 Custom DI Truggy

I've been toying with the idea of selling my DI Truggy. This is probably the wrong audience for it but, I figured I'd throw this out there and see what happens anyway. This is not your typical Discovery build. It is a highly modified and everything has been custom built from the ground up. I...

    OME spring mix and match

Yes I do, and technically it will also include a portion of the weight of the suspension links etc. 2,000 lbs was just a random number which is about as accurate as 3,000 lbs for sprung weight. I guess you're trucks are a lot heavier than any I've owned. Based on rough math my current truck is...

    OME spring mix and match

You're best option is to actually weigh the truck. But if you think about it this way. Let's say you have a 5,500 lb truck. Depending on tire size you probably 250-400 lbs for tires, another 1,000 lbs (which is light) for axles etc. radius arms, a-arm, trailing links, springs and socks are kind...

    OME spring mix and match

Ok if you have 3,000 sprung weight per axle. that's 6,000 sprung weight and probably 2,000 lbs of unsprung weight. So you have a disco that weighs 8,000 lbs. God lord....

    OME spring mix and match

Not sure if those are front or rear springs. I assume rear based on the spring rate. So if it's a rear spring 11.5 is about factory ride height. My RTE MD 3" springs with a well kitted truck HD bumper, gas tank skid, tools and gear sat at about 14.5-15". So yeah 3,000 lbs sprung is a heavy bitch.

    OME spring mix and match

Yes, but if he's got 3,000 lbs of sprung weight on one axle he needs to be looking at XXHD springs.

    OME spring mix and match

It depends. I don't think the TR bumper or the 9.5ti are super heavy compared to something like a RTE with a 10k Husky. Also if you're running synth rope that will save a bit of weight. I would think that's probably pretty normal for a bumper winch combo and no XHD. But if you mix and match...

    Why hasnt this sold?

I've actually looked at this truck both times it was for sale. The last time a few years ago when it was down to $4,500 on CL I was really considering it but didn't have anyplace to put it since it was still mostly parts and I don't have the storage space for something I can't move easily...

'95 Truggy Build :: 1995 Land Rover Discovery

Fixing more of what's not broken. Cut out the rear section of the frame, floor and rear body. Then built a tube structure to tuck the back end up and tie in the back of the roll cage. Still need to build a new floor structure and install a fuel cell but it's getting there.

It?s still a Rover. For me tools are like insurance. The minute you leave camp without it will break down.

I need to find a ramp to test on. For now I've only been able to use rocks.

    4" spring

Then just buy some. It's not rocket surgery. Just spend a little time on google or search here. the TF part numbers have been posted multiple times. Then google search for the TF Part numbers, find a vendor, add to cart and check out. You could have probably already accomplished that in the time...

I totally agree, we went there a few years ago for my birthday. One of the worst meals I've ever had.

'95 Truggy Build :: 1995 Land Rover Discovery

The way every trail truck should be painted. With a rattle can. :D It actually looks semi decent and will make for quick touch ups when needed.
