thanks- i'm a realist. 2004s seem to be selling for about $5k-8k. This truck has some nagging issues as mentioned in my initial post but I would argue it is still in fair shape. Also pricing this thing keeping in mind I have not had an opportunity to take care of the 90k service. I am however...
sorry for the delay, still available. it was dumb of me to post it when i did, i didn't think bout the fact that September and October are always the busiest for me. I'll be responding to PMs in the morning!
old pictures available here: http://www.discoweb.org/forums/showthread.php?t=56975&referrerid=8561
still looks pretty much the same- like a G4 Disco, but i'll post some new pics later
Just to throw it out there, this has happened to me on 2 separate occasions. The first time, I replaced the interior fuse box, as the initial poster suggested. The second time it happened to me, replacing the battery fixed the problem.
I need replacements. Prefer black Duragrain, but black leather or that G4 interior would do as well, so long as I could also get a back seat with them.
Duragrain on the driver's side seat bolster is shot, and the plastic that holds the Duragrain to the seat frame on the passengers seat is shot...
'04, just turned 75k this morning.
Cylinder #7 is suspect as the spark plug is entirely too clean, white smoke on start up, little to no noticeable coolant loss though, compression's just fine, no oil in the coolant, no coolant in the oil. Valve cover gaskets and RMS are both pissing oil.
2004 Disco. Front sunroof. Makes some sloshing sounds. No signs of moisture anywhere, sounds like if you had a water bottle that had only a little bit of water in it and you were sloshing it back around. Definitely sounds like it's happening inside.
Any ideas WTF?
I was thinking something along those lines, jmonsrvr. Definitely not in denial, not my first Rover rodeo, I knew full well going into this car what I was digging myself into. The first year I owned my 1995 D90 I dropped $11k just keeping it running. Head gasket on this 04 is best case scenario...
smells like coolant. sometimes the engine bay smells like coolant. again, in an entire year, no noticeable coolant loss, haven't had to top it off or anything. Still full up.
