    Looking For Longitude Expedition Vehicles

Mine (#5) dropped a sleeve in 2009 and sat for a couple of years. Ended up selling it to a Rover repair shop in Katy, TX for next to nothing and it sat there for a few more years. He finally replaced the motor and went through the rest of the truck. I heard he recently sold it.

    DMTL - Help

Well no joy. Replaced the purge valve, cleared the codes and MIL returned after the 2nd restart, same codes, 86 unknown and 1451 DMTL. Any suggestions on what to try next? Someone posted a picture of the fuel leak detection pump located on the right side frame rail, would that be the next step...

    DMTL - Help

Thanks guys. I forgot to mention that I have had a problem with the gas cap not threading in properly. I replaced the fuel fill tube and cap with a used one before I cleared the codes in the hopes that was the problem. I will replace the purge valve this afternoon and update you on the status...

    I sunk my Battleship !

Daniel, Try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and then reconnecting, that worked for mine to get the shifter lockout to release. Your transmission ECU is under the drivers seat. It may or may not be damaged by the water. When I had water in my cab it was salt water and fried my...

Scary Clacking noise from rear UJ or Diff?

My 96 had a similar noise and it turned out to be the pin that holds the spider gears in the third member. I was shocked that it had not exploded the rear end. The pin is held in place by a circlip on each end, evidently it is common for them to come off and the pin slips out of the spider...

    antenna replacement

Anthony, I replaced mine a while back with a 15.00 unit from Auto Zone that looks similar to the stock unit. I did a tech article on it and posted on the CROC site when I was still in NC. It might help with the replacement: http://www.carolinarovers.org/Tech/Tech1/antenna.htm Jeff

    LONGITUDE Expedition Trucks in VA

They did have D4 listed on ebay but it did not reach the reserve. I know they were planning on auctioning them off to give the funds to the Parkinsons Institute but they have also done quite a bit of promo stuff across the country. They may be on their way to a promo. I emailed Nick Baggarly...

    Driving your LR though Water?

I imagine that it would hold up a little better in fresh water, that brackish mess I was in was nasty.

    Driving your LR though Water?

Thanks Paul, and I was just getting ready to spend all that money on some of those upgrades we talked about. Well, it's like one of the guys in the club said; "quit your bitching, you won the frigging thing!" If anyone ever needs to know how to disassemble anything on the interior of a DII...

    Driving your LR though Water?

How did you not get water in the Transmission ECU? I was probably not that deep but I got stuck so there was no bow wave. I know that the doors are not water tight but I was actually surprised at how quickly the water entered the cab. Jeff

    Driving your LR though Water?

Thanks Clay..............I wasn't sure I wanted that put out for the world to see, but oh well. Yep, water bad...salt water real bad..... I wouldn't recommend water crossing to anyone! I have always thought the folks in the pictures of sunk Rovers were a little off in the head to get in that...

Best way to ship ARB front bumper / winch ??

It can't go by FedEx or UPS, it would move by truck freight which would be expensive. It may go Greyhound, not sure. You can ship it from terminal to terminal with Forward Air ( www.forwardair.com ) for pretty reasonable. Jeff
