My CD player has been indicating that it is "ejecting...." for the last two weeks. Most CD players have a manual override that resolves this issue with a paper clip, but I have not been able to find it. Has anyone resolved this issue without tearing the dash apart?
I think you will find what you are looking for if you search:

and

The '03 seems to initiate a lot of conversations about twatts and nipples, the '04 is still about the twatts, but CDL eliminates the need...
I have an '03 S, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it for what I do. It's perfectly adept at getting me through the snow wherever I need to go in the winter in northern New England, climbing the dunes after cruising out to my favorite fishing spot on the Cape, or light green laning with other...
Wow, 13.5 is downright painful! :ack:
According to the computer and my calculations, this weekend I got 18.25 mpg over hilly upstate New York highways. About 350 miles at and average speed of 67 mph. The best I have ever gotten is 19.2 driving in the middle of the night on the same route...
I managed to get the ladder off without spinning the rivnuts- knocking on wood for when I reinstall..... We did get to have a little fun with the cut off tool on the edges of one of the screws so we could get vice grips on it :>)
I'm having it burned, sandblasted, and done up in a crinkle...
I am thinking about removing, powdercoating, and reinstalling the now flaky ladder on my D2. I've had a look at some of the posts on installing a new ladder, and it looks like once the rivnuts are in they're good to go. Is it as easy as unbolting the ladder, getting it painted and putting it...
I have the 8 footer on my D2. I'm using the bars and feet from my Saab wagon to latch to the factory rails, so it sits a little more forward than I'd like, but still works fine. I actually think the bars make LESS noise with the box on, but hold on tight in a crosswind! I've used it for about...
I'm glad other folks have had better luck, and humbly apologize for moaning and whining in the tech section. Half of it's life in the desert, and the other half in the frozen north appears to have taken it's toll on mine, and it caught me in a bit of a pickle. I am going to try bringing mine...

Congratulations, I'm glad to hear you were able to give it a proper christening. :) These trucks are great fun to drive, and rover owners really are a great bunch!
Enjoy!
I'm planning on going with 245/75 R16s when my XPCs wear out. The '04 TrEK Discos ran this setup. If you're looking any bigger than these, take a look at the thread of lifted D2s.
Good luck!
Two more to add-
Check the leather on the doors, for some reason it tears easily.
Check the sun screens.
Try to negotiate a real set of tires and a full size spare into the deal if you can :D
