So the end of my story went like this:
after the FC bolt broke, I used pentrating oil, prayed, swore, prayed, banged on the bolt shaft with a hard plastic faced hammer for a few days. PT told me to be patient and I did my best but here-is the rest of my story.
I tried to pry the FC off the...

My highschool age daughter drives a 96 D1 with 120K on it. She's had the "Hell Bitch" for three years and now we need to do plugs and wires. I've searched this forum and have come to this conclusion to go with standard Champion plugs - no Bosch's or NGK's...
However, the forum...

I am just back on this project after having a bicycle wreck - the pavement won.

Re: D1 Water Pump Bolt - A tough one that gets worse
I beat the bolt head, prayed a bit and put a good bit of torque on 11 mm bolt and held it for 30 secs. Put a bit more on it for about 15 secs and it moved a bit - then the bolt head was by itself in the socket.
So God is happy, but I'm not...

I'm replacing my 96 D1 water pump (117K miles orginal pump I believe) and the last bolt, a 5" long 11mm bolt, won't budge. I have used an 18" breaker bar and a 6 pt socket and I'm concerned I'm going to twist off the...

My teenage daughters D1 died on her way to school this am. I'm headed out to try to access the issue. What code should I see in my ODBII reader?
Can the CPS been jumpered or bypassed? If it can, is it reckless to do?
