I'm selling a dark grey 2000 Discovery II (VIN: SALTY1242YA249734) I just bought less than two months ago. It's got dual roofs, leather/heated seats, 3rd row seating and various other amenities you'd expect to find in a DII. Plus, it has a Rovertym 3" lift, 285/75/R16 BFG MTs (roughly 32x10.5"), ARB front bumper, Safari Gard rear bumper and various Southdown underbelly protection and the center locking differential has been connected (stock DIIs of this year didn't have center diff lock). It's got 45k on the 4.0L Bosch engine and I'd like to get $13k for it.

Why so low? The truck was wrecked and rebuilt in its past life and thus has a rebuilt title. Mechanically, it's in great shape. I had my local ceritifed Rover mechanic give the truck its 45k service and sort out little annoyances (like getting the front sunroof to work). However, the bodywork on the rebuild is not up to my arguably overly-demanding standards and the cost to return the truck to like-new condition outweighs the value of the truck. So I have decided to cut bait and sell it for a sizable loss and move on to a more perfect specimen.

At first glance, the truck looks to be fine. Be clear, it is not, though to what degree is really in the eye of the beholder. Other less-discerning Roverheads might argue it's good to go as is. Especially as a truck well on its way to being a serious contender offroad. Again, what I consider "good condition" is likely different from many in our circles. I'd be happy to go into greater detail about the body with anyone interested (I have a detailed estimate from a body shop), but didn't want to bog down this already long post.

I have attached a picture for the perusal of any interested parties. If you'd like more info, just shoot me an email or call me at (612) 306-8011 to set up a time to stop by. Responding to this post directly on DWeb will take longer for me to get back to you, as I don't check it daily.
