This is a 1997 Land Rover Range Rover 4.6 HSE with over 32,000 dollars of modifications.
? Engine: The engine is a 4.6 liter engine modified by RPI engineering. The gas mileage is 12 and 15 which is better than most 4.6?s and equal to the 4.0 Range Rover with more power than both. A stock 4.6 HSE has 225 horsepower. My Range Rover has 280hp and the engine with install cost 12,000 dollars.
? Exhaust: The exhaust has been redone from the headers down, with new pipe and with dual exhaust tips. These exhaust tips have new mufflers \ which sounds beefier and adds performance to the Rover. This cost 1,200 dollars.
? Suspension: The EAS air suspension that came standard with the vehicle is known for breaking down often and being very expensive to fix. When an airbag began to leak in the system, rather than replacing the airbag and hoping not to have another problem, I spent 4,500 dollars on a custom suspension. The EAS system was taken out and switched to coils. The coils are the highest quality coils/spring combination which give 3 inches of lift to the Rover, but still handle better than the EAS system. There are custom shock mounts, along with all the necessary electrical components to make sure the EAS system is not constantly giving warning messages. This Range Rover can comfortable cruise at 85mph on the highway at 2700 rpm. I just bought brand new 33 inch BFG Goodrich All terrain tires which have around 800 highway miles on them. Tires cost 500 dollars.
? Steering: An aftermarket steering damper was put in place of the stock stabilizer due to the larger tires and lift. This steering stabilizer dampens all bumps and shakes that occurred with a normal stabilizer. Cost 400 dollars.
? Body: The body has all been custom painted to match the body so there are no more plastic bumpers or side skirts. The front headlights and brake lights have been upgraded to match the 2000+ look. The front grill has been changed and a billet style grill has been put in. All the windows are 20% tinted. All of these exterior upgrades have cost me 1,600 dollars.
? Interior: There are 3 T.V.s and an additional screen to display what is behind you when you are backing up. There is a 7 inch screen mounted to the dash which is hooked up to a DVD Alpine Navigation unit which is controlled by a remote. This screen is also hooked up to a DVD/VCR which is mounted in the glove box. There are two monitors in the headrest which are also hooked up to the DVD/VCR. In place of the stock cd player is a clarion head unit which controls the volume of everything in the car including DVD/VCR sound and navigation sound. The headunit flips out into another screen which shows the back up camera when in reverse, and also displays different equalizers etc. for the stereo. There is a 6 cd changer mounted in the trunk. All of the sound equipment is hooked up to the Harmon Kardon sound system along with several JL audio tweeters added throughout the vehicle to enhance sound quality. In the trunk there are two 12 inch JL audio W6 subwoofers enclosed in a custom box to match the interior of the car. This is powered by a 500 watt amp that is mounted in an enclosed space along with the navigation system. The subwoofers tilt up so that in the event of a flat tire you can still access the spare tire easily. Mounted near the rear view mirror there is a top of the line Valentine One radar detector. This is wired into the cars power and can be turned on when the car is on. This radar detector is known for the arrows which point which direction the signal is coming from. There are no wires that hang down and there is only about 1 inch of wire that can be seen until it disappears under the headliner. There are remotes included for the DVD player, the navigation, the VCR and for the cd player. All of these modifications cost more than 6,200 dollars. *I am currently using the radar detector in my other vehicle, if you want to purchase the radar detector with the car this can be arranged*
? Alarm System: The stock alarm system/keyless entry was horrible. I took out the stock system and purchased a top of the line Valet alarm/remote start. This alarm has great range and comes with two remotes. The first remote has is about 1in x 1.5 inches and displays anything from the inside temp of the car to if any windows are rolled down. On cold days I can press the remote start button in my dorm room, walk a block to my car get in and it will already be warm and ready to go. There is a blinking light in the dash that begins to beep when it is armed. Cost 550 + labor.
? There are additional 20 inch rims and tires for sale with the vehicle if preferred. I will add 1,000 dollars to the selling price if you want the rims included, or you can keep one or the other with no additional price. The rims are 20 inches and have brand new Toyo Z rated tired on them.
? *All of these prices do not include taxes, and labor. The labor on this car was done only by professionals, and all work has been documented. I have the receipts on any work that has ever been done on the car by all owners of the car. The labor on all of these modifications easily
worth of labor, if not more.*
? Mileage and upkeep: The mileage on my Range Rover reads 135,700. The old engine was taken out at 100k and the completely new RPI engine was replaced. Shortly before 100k a transmission repair was made. The transmission is still shifting smoothly and operating in good condition. The brakes were completely replaced at 130k along with new rotors, pads, wires etc. I change the oil with only the best 15W40 semi-synthetic every 3,000 miles. I have all the appropriate check-ups done to the car, I had the 120k service completed on time which includes changing all of the fluids, and going through a number of system checks etc. Everything checked out in good working condition, and no major problems were found. The differentials are strong, the axels are fine. Since the vehicle is eight years old there is normal wear on the inside and outside, but is in overall very good condition. To my knowledge there are two known problems with the car at this time. The rear view mirror does not auto dim anymore, and there is a small ring in the rear view mirror. I can order a mirror for the buyer for cheap if they want, but it doesn?t bug me at all so I don?t even bother with it. Also there is a considerable amount of wear on the corner of the driver side armrest. These are the only two problems that I know of on this Range Rover.
?
There are some slight scratches that have been touch up painted and one small dent on the passenger door.

? This car was intended to have an off-road look, but has not been driven off-road. All though I know that this Rover could handle just about anything you threw at it, I don?t like the feeling of almost tipping my car that I have worked so hard on, just for an afternoon of fun. I like the beefier look, but I have not abused this car. I never floor the pedal even when getting on the highway. This car has been used to travel to and from home on the weekends when I am not in school which is about 120 miles each way. 95% of the miles of this car are from effortlessly cruising on the highway, and the rest from driving around campus.

? I am asking 20,500 dollars for this Range Rover. The vehicle is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

You can contact me at Raabert2000@yahoo.com if you have any questions or call me at 405-834-8784. I know this car very well and will be happy to answer any questions. If I do not know the answer to your question I will find out. I can send additional pictures upon request.

Id love to hold on to it, but its not my choice....Ive been trying to convince the parents it would be a great utility car and we could just lay down the back seats and then I would buy it from them in a few years out of college, but they want to sell it so it has to go :(

i had to get new rims and tires, there were some complications with the BCM which had to be replaced that upped the price some, the labor wasnt cheap on it, and i had overnight on some shipping to try and get it ready for our first snow at home....it was well worth it

I saw it parked @ Hibdon Tires in Nichols Hills a few months ago, yes I rubber ? necked because I noticed it was a lifted RR. Rob you might want to consider taking some of the fancy electronics out? Maybe sell them on EBAY?? What work was done on the ******? I remember reading about a drive to FLA and the transmission light came on?
