2003 Discovery Brush Bar

I have recently purchased a 2003 LR Discovery and I like the vehicle very much. I am disappointed however with the Land Rover version of a brush bar for the 2003 Discovery, and I have always liked the look of the traditional Rover brush guard for models up to 2002.

The ARB winch bumper is a bit extreme for me who ventures off road only occassionally. Does anyone know of a company that offers a tubular type brush bar that is similar to Land Rover's older style but one that will fit a 2003 Discovery ?

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Hi Guy, I would go with an aftermarket bumper instead of a brush bar. The cost will be about the same and you will get a lot more from an ARB, TJM, etc bumper. I purchased the LR '03 brush bar and regret it since it really doesn't add that much protection, you lose some clearance, and it isn't that strong.

For the same amount of money, I basically could have gotten a TJM bumper. Now I'm just waiting for me to trash my current bumper / brush bar and then get a real bumper.

Thanks I'll checl out the TJM front bumpers. I'm really interested in the way it looks and I thought the former brush bar was a classic design.
