I've ordered a Lexus GX550 Overtrail and it should be here in late May or early June, so the LR4 has to go.
Asking $19,000 or best offer
Details:
2013 Land Rover LR4 HSE LUX HD Package 5L V8
Orkney Grey exterior, black premium leather interior, gloss black trim, blackout exterior package (all black trim)
This truck has the HD package meaning it has the rear locker.
124,300 miles (partial daily driver so miles will increase)
A lot of off road modifications.
Scottsdale, Arizona private party sale
The Good:
V8 power, air suspension ride, premium interior, rear locker, tons of aftermarket parts, truck is religiously serviced by a local independent Rover-specific dealership owned & managed by Land Rover Master Technicians. I will put a serious buyer in touch with my mechanics at Rov-N-Techs in Scottsdale to get their feedback on the truck. My repair & maintenance philosophy is pretty simple – what it needs is what it gets. I have a full maintenance history spreadsheet with everything detailed. Oil changes every 5k or less. Full front & rear axle brake replacement with OEM rotors, pads, & sensors last week. Air suspension compressor and valve block replaced last month. The cooling system crossover pipes, front & rear manifold, and water pump were all replaced in March 2021 with 77K miles. The timing chains have NOT been done but there is no rattling, oil is changed every 5k, and my mechanic hasn’t suspected any problem with the timing chains.
Aftermarket equipment:
I had a dead battery and something in the audio/infotainment system went bad. The problem is that there is break in the fiber optic information ring that links all of the audio/infotainment components. Land Rover calls this the “MOST” ring. The fiber optic signal connects the dashboard touch screen, the main AM/FM receiver and CD player behind the dash & under the touch screen, the amplifier under the passenger seat, and the satellite module in the rear passenger cargo area. I’m still trying to sort this out and will get serious about it now that I want to sell the truck. I already have replacement components and a fiber optic jumper cable so I can test each component. The problem with the MOST ring means that the top-of-the-line Harmon/Kardon Logic 7 audio & DVD system cuts out every 10 seconds or so and goes blank (quiet) as it reboots for a few seconds. So, your audio “enjoyment” is constantly interrupted about every 10 seconds. I’ve thought about just putting in one of those easy aftermarket touch screen systems with apple car play and android connection or a complete aftermarket system but I’d really like to get the original system back in working order.

Aftermarket equipment:
- Five Compomotive 18” wheels, custom powdercoated dark silver
- Five Nitto Ridge Grappler tires 275/65/18 (32”)
- Tactical 4X4 steel rear bumper with swing-away tire carrier
- Lucky 8 front bumper with Terrafirma 12k winch, synthetic winch line, Baja Designs fog lights, Proud Rhino bash plate
- Terrafirma low-profile roof rack with front spoiler, pair of Rigid D-Series Spot lights and a pair of Rigid D-Series Flood lights mounted on front of roof rack, pair of Rigid scene lights mounted on sides of roof rack, black “chicken coop” flooring on full length of roof rack
- Prospeed front & rear lower control arm skid plates
- Rimmer Bros engine sump skid plate and transmission skid plate
- Custom aluminum skid plate completing the gap between the engine sump skid and the Proud Rhino bumper bash plate
- Tactical 4X4 gas tank skid plate
- XLifter air suspension module – this is, by far, the best aftermarket mod for these trucks https://www.xlifter.com/
- GAP IIDTool BT from Lucky 8 will be included
- Knightsbridge Overland tactical front seat covers in black
- LED interior lights throughout
- Lucky 8 Proud Rhino SYA Offroad Extension Kit with limiting straps and Proud Rhino 2.5” lift rods - This kit keeps the truck off of the 32” tires in the event that the air suspension fails, means you can drive off the trail even with total air suspension failure
- Terrafirma 30mm wheel spacers – purchased these along with the SYA kit above, not sure if they will really be needed
- Trigger 4 Plus Wireless accessory control system – I wasn’t happy with the wiring and switches for the aftermarket Baja and Rigid lights so I stripped it all out and bought this really slick Trigger wireless system – you don’t have to run wires into the cab of the truck from the lights or engine bay – you have a switch panel with 4 wireless switches – you can Velcro mount the switch panel anywhere and you can also control your lights with your smart phone. I just haven’t had time to install it yet.

- Total of aftermarket equipment listed above is a bit over $12,000.
