235/70 to 235/85... ?

First time poster... With a recently added OME 1.5" lift I can now go with a 235/85 series tire. Will the power/performance loss on my D1 be noticable.?

Noticeable is a subjective term

The 235/70 measures out to ~29", while the 235/85 comes out to be ~31.75"

So, your effective ratio will be 9.5% taller.

I run both, the 70s as street, the 85s as off road. Huge difference between the two sizes. If in doubt do 245/75

It is noticeable, however if you think about it, it could be safer. It takes you longer to speed up so you would not be speeding and you may be able to avoid an animal, debris, or anything of that nature.

I know, but a way to rationalize it, but you ruined it.

Not to hijack but if you brake hard with the 235.85 do your tires squeel, or is that just mine?

don't think you can rationalize it.
the only reason for 235/85s would be... "I WANT THEM!"
