I have a 2001 DII, with a 7 year old, and 2 year old, and third child in the future. My wife has been threatening me with a minivan in our future, and I'm curious to hear from any LR3 owners with three kids. How's it work with child seats? Are you putting three in the second row or using the third. Thanks for any help!

In your situation, I'd figure on the older one riding in the back row while the younger ones ride in the row closest to you.

Not sure if this helps in your particular situation, but I drove to Savannah, GA from PA with 5 adults and a 12 year old, with luggage stowed on the roof and we were all comfortable. The 3rd row was roomy enough for my 12 year old so I would think it would be fine for your older kids, new born in 2nd row.. I even sat back there with him for about 4 hours and we were both comfortable....... (I also had 2 golf bags behind the 3rd row, fit perfectly)

I have 3 kids under 7. They ride in the second row. One is in a car seat and the other two are in booster seats. I have taken the family on (2) 3,000 mile road trips in the LR3 and nobody complained.

I have a 5 yr old, 2.5 yr old and 10 month old. No problems fitting a full booster, 5point harness carseat, and the rear facing all in the second row. The only issue is securing them enough so they don't move. The leather seats don't help much, and the mats that I bought only help a little. If you're using tethers, that may help a little.
