Putting in a RR engine into a 94 D1. Dissy and single coil.

I have fuel pressure 40psi, and the spark is good, can reach over 6mm as specified. New plugs. New-looking plug leads and dissy cap.

Ok, cranking is relatively slow, and the engine tries to start but cannot fire properly. After a few secs it seems to flood. It was running barely ok the other day. I took off a bunch of sensor connectors, and pipes off the plenum, so its probable that I fucked something up. Anyone here know what sensors are important, or give me a hint, as I have double checked them all as best I can.

Many thanks

Dean

You Have the TPS sensor that can effect things, also the vacume advance so look out for cracked hoses and stuff.

It's one of those situations where having several guys all pouring over the engine bounching questions off of each other would get to the bottom of it.

like for instance you check the Inertia button on the fire wall and wird shit like that?

Dean, is it there a new rotor in it? I noticed you mentioned cap, plugs, wires, etc, but no rotor. i had a no start issue on my 95, cause was bad rotor. no prior issues. ran that morning to work, went out to lunch, would not start at all. had fuel pressure, good spark from the coil, but poor spark from plug to block. book pointed to bad rotor. switched in a brand new one and fired right up.

The dissy cap and leads all look new. I'll check the rotor. I did a quick check earlier - all the plugs are sparking well. Checked the MAF connector, the fuel temp connector, and the water temp connector. I'm wondering if I've got a bad sensor or connector / wire that's messing with the ecm and fuel feed? Anyone guess which sensors can wreak havoc like this?
