I failed state inspection because the marker lights in the front bumper wil not come on. I put new bulbs in and all fuses are good. These are the only lights that do not work. I am not getting any juice to the sockets from what I can tell. Any advise on what to try next?

warm regards, keith zack

On my D1 it was one of the wires behind the sidelight receptacle that corroded and broke off. Worth checking.

New Lights

I had all four out. The wires corroded at the socket, all of the O-rings were cracked and some lenses had dirt and water in them.
I replaced all four bumper-end light bulbs and both wing-repeater bulbs with the LED replacement (amber) that they sell at auto-parts stores. Since most of the sockets were shot anyway and a new one with harness is over $50, I cut off the connectors and soldered the wires to the LED circuit board, RTVed it together, put on new O-rings with a liberal amount of silicone grease to seal them. Oh, also seal the wires where they go into the socket, the boot usually leaks and the wire sleeve will hold water or channel it down to the light.
