So I was finally successful in getting the t-case plug loose, 1/2'" drive ratchet fed in from above works great, then with a persuader pipe and all my weight it finally broke loose. Now the unbelieveable part! there was always a kind of hum with my truck since I bought it and the guy says, "It is normal Land Rover stuff" (idiot) That t-case was bone dry!! I think ever since I owned it, I have put on over 30k miles on it. I topped off the t-case and it is quite as hell. I guess you just can't trust anybody, but all is cool now, Happy rovering people!!! LOL good one! You might want to change the oil again in a week or so, I bet there are a load of filings in there that will be mixed up now.

Says something for the t-case eh?

I only had some regular 90W gear oil, so I topped it off and will be getting some Mobil 1 syn. this week, then drain and refill. The guys at work are still amazed that it did'nt seize up with all the freeway driving I do. Ron
