Anyone know where the hell it's at? I'm trying to figure out why my damn rear wiper doesn't work, and hae followed the Rave far enough that I now need to get at the wiper ECU. Rave shows it to be under a cover in the dashboeard that does not exist. There is a little white box in the dash tray just to the left of the steering wheel, but I don't think that's it.

My rear wiper wasn't working as well as a few other things. I thought it was the MFU, but it turned out that fuse 12 and 13 were blown. I replaced them and it works like a champ. You might want to check those first.

Fuses were checked first, then the relay. I've gotten so far as to put 12V on the pin 30 socket of the relay base, and the motor runs. If I take power away in mid swipe, and then put the relay back in, the wiper ECU will park the wiper arm, but won't run it anymore. It seems I have no "signal out" from the ECU to the motor.

Might not be related - but
Is your driver's door is closed when you turn on your wipers.
I found out recently that the door needs to be closed for the rear wipers to work...

You will find the ecu for the wipers behind the plastic panel located above the clock in the center of the dash. Check the connectors. Mine needed to be cleaned. Also check other harness conections in the dash as I had some water leaking from the windscreen seals. My wipers liked to come on by themselves after it rained.

Good luck

Yes, I know about the door switch deal, I have them unplugged so as to simulate closed doors while poking around in here.

Lets discuss rear wiper again.

Currently I'm replacing my rear sub speakers and spare tire carrier. Before putting the rear door panel back on I decided to check the rear wiper. And wouln't you now it, it's not working. The rear wiper on my project 98 did work before, at least I think I remember turning it on at some point.

So I broke out the test light and started probing. Here are some of my priliminary findings
My gut feelings tells me my motor is bad, but with this wiper ECU and MFU, I'm not sure it's the motor. This is where you guys come in. Help me shed some light on this situation.

EDIT: I didn't realize my search brought up a thread in the Defender section. Hopefully the same will apply for a Disco. If not, I'll copy and paste to the appropriate section.
