tire post. I've searched and found some good informatin about the tires available for the LR3, and the time has come to purchase a new set. The first question I have is will the 285/60 Nitto Terra Grapplers fit without rubbing or trimming. The second question is does anybody have experience with the Dune Grapplers? Most of my off road driving is done on the beach, but I want to make sure the family is still safe in everyday driving.

Thanks!

I just got the Terra Grapplers (285-60-18) put on a few weeks ago and have not had any rubbing.

I have seen another person using the 285-65-18's and had to shave down the small hump on the forward side of the rear wheel wells.

No experience with the dune's.

Why? Are they coming out with something smaller than a 35" for 18" rims. I have one month until I need tires, so I will wait.

I fondled the Cooper Zeon LTZ at the National Rally. Seems like a pretty nice tire. I'm going be putting on a pair soon. There's a group of guys out prowling the Great Divide in Colorado right now (with www.offroving.com) that all got free Coopers in a sponsorship agreement. Should get some trail reports from them in the next week or so.

Having said, those new BFG's look awesome, but perhaps a bit too knarly for my daily driver.
