I believe this has been mentioned here before, but I wanted to put a
link out one more time. At the very least, you can see Series II
Discoverys a very, very long way from the mall. These folks are on
the trip of a lifetime. And they are using the very best vehicle
for the job. But more importantly, they are trying to raise
awareness for a very worthwhile cause. Do yourself a favor and
visit the site soon and often. Do the DATW Team, and those
afflicted with Parkinson's Disease a favor and consider making a
contribution towards their efforts and towards a cure. Thanks for
your time.

I saw these guys leave from the Parkinson's building in Santa Clara. (A non-Rover owning friend of mine clued me in. His family knows one of the participants.)

Their journal is indeed interesting to read, and chronicals a lot of the things that can happen on a weekend camping trip, let alone a trip of this magnitude.

It is also a very worthy cause. My father died from Parkinson's a couple of years ago. It is a terrible disease that leaves the mind trapped in a failing body. Fortunatly, and I do not say this lightly, my father also had Alzhiemer's. I would not wish either disease on anyone.

Anyway, their collective journal is a good read, and should be investigated by anyone dreaming of such a trip.
