Bob,

I got the connectors at Pep Boys. They are a "build it yourself" setup. They make the same harness with pigtails, but I like to build them myself so I can run the size and length of wire I want.

Does everyone tap into the high beam wire (so that the aux lights will shut off when the low beams are on), or do you all do something else? Also, does anyone know exactly which wire going to the headlights is the high beam, to save me from a bit o' trial and error?

There are actual laws about these auxillary lights. Check with your state troopers to get the scoop. Having said that and being on my own program......My Roof Rack light switch relays are triggered by the Parking / driving light. But my Bumper lights are triggered by the low beams.

Thanks Paul.
Anyone know which wire to the headlights controls the high beam?
Also, does anyone have any ideas or pictures of how they cleaned up the installation? I have 4 aux lamps on the safety devices rack, and they each have their own wires hanging off of the back... not too pretty! It is too much wire to stuff into one of those flexible looms too...

Hey Steve,

Great set-up! You'll probably be doing a 3rd rover soon, can you do a write up of the setup? Maybe a wiring diagram? :D

thanks,

wes

Wes, Hopefully my brother will be getting a rack soon. When He does, I'll do his lights and take plenty of pictures. I'll just have him do a write-up on it. He's better at this computer shit than I am. If any of you guys feel like comming into my area, I'd be glad to render my services.

Steve I am in in the area and electrical is not my speciality. I really could use your help. Maybe when you do your brothers light I can come and do mine.
