aftermarket rotors and abs

Got new slotted rotors from Atlantic British and installed them on the front with LR pads. After which my ABS went out. We hooked it up to the box and it showed a fault on the right front. Checked the sensor etc. and all seemed fined. So I called the dealer since my truck -- an o3 -- is still under warranty. The dealer said sorry, the problem is the aftermarket rotors. Anything but factory rotors and pads can screw up the ABS and as a consequence they won't do anything under warranty. I don't really mind losing the ABS, but as anybody else heard of such a thing/had a similar experience?

A few after market rotor/pad combinations can throw a code when they are breaking in.
My DBA got a little too hot when they were first installed, threw a code. I drove with the light on for a couple of weeks until they pads and rotors were really seated in and then had the light turned off, it has never come back.
Did you put any sound deadening material on the pads when you installed them and were the pads brake material beveled?? This can make a hugh difference also.

Thanks for the info. They were factory pads. Would they come beveled or is that something I should have done by hand?
