If you can find out from the previous owner the dealership where it was purchased, you may be able to find out whether they had the 30k mile service done. This is an important service interval because they change the trans filter. Rover now recommends only changing the trans filter once at 30k miles, and only fluid changes are required thereafter.

ATF Change and a long trip

Okay the PO cannot find the records and is going out of town for a couple weeks so I have no idea when the last ATF change was or who did it. I have had the 95D1 for 8 mos and 13,000 miles. Now here is my problem and why I thought I should change the ATF. The family and I are leaving this weekend on a 1800 mile round trip to Fort Walton Beach. Would it be a good preventative measure to drain and change the ATF? I did the oil, diff oil, swivel ball and transfer case. Along with these what else should be done for good measure.
