Anyone interested in a little backpacking trip through the Gorge?
I realize I may be asking the wrong group as it is a Rover forum, but...
Ironically, I bought the Rover for the main purpose of being a very capable vehicle to gain access to trail heads/campsites and to haul all of our gear, but since I got it, I have done more offroading than hiking.
While this is not necessarily a BAD thing, I am really starting to miss backpacking and primitive camping in the gorge.
For those who have never done this, I can tell you it is well worth the mud, sweat and exhaustion to see this area from within (not just from the road).
Aside from fall, we are now in the BEST time of the year for this and I would like to take advantage of it.
We could also take the rope and have some fun on the cliffs.
If anyone is interested, let me know and we can kick around some ideas as far as dates and routes.
