Stoners...and yes that is the real name. Spray it on and use newspaper, not paper towels, and you will have a crystal clear view.

Or, wet the windshield and use staight liquid dish soap. If it is really bad the auto detailers also use a piece of OOO steel wool along with the soap. Dont scrub just use normal pressure and all the fall out and grime will come right off.

Why do you need to use newspapers with Stoners?

I wouldn't want to use Stoners because it'd make me look like a bum when I wash my car.

You know, just like all those pieces of shit out there who beg for change,
who sleep in garbage bins, eat what I throw away. They got a name for that, Jules. It's called a bum.

I've used GoJo creme hand cleaner to remove tar & grime from windshields & paint without doing any damage. It leaves a film of Lanolin behind, but that's easy to clean with Windex or even a lot of water.

If you really feel the need for learning the intricacies of glass cleaning, for a mere 9.95, you can get a guru report on glass cleaners at:
http://www.gurureports.org/cgi-bin/store/sp0002.html

You could just try the gourmet shit below, a bargain at $52, LOL.
http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1451530.

Many detail shops use an aerosol. Usually, they are very good and are typically Ethyl/Methyl Alcohol based. It'll take almost anything off. I get it at an auto glass shop, got a can when they replaced a wind shield and it really is most excellent.

Be careful of anything but mild soap if you have tinting.

Stoners!?!?!?

Stoners is the name of the COMPANY!!!! Invisible Glass is the product:rolleyes:
  • It strips Armor All off
  • Don't use paper towels- the goo in the towels (wetting agents) comes off on the windows
  • Make sure the glass is cool- this stuff evaporates QUICKLY
  • Make sure the cloth is clean that you are using to clean the windows- it really pulls off dirt also don't use this stuff on plastic- can discolor it, DON'T use it on the instrument plastic either

About newspaper... this is an old detailers trick that does work- you see newsprint is lint free and the composition of the inks used has some abrasive in it to get rid of the gunk.

Also, where can you get a can for $2.50- here in WNY its $3.50!! Not to sound cheap, but I use this stuff regularly and as we all know, Discos have a lot of glass!

But its well worth it, and it will enhance the Rain-X too!
