Bogus ABS Fault Code?

Check Engine light came on the other day. Pulled the code and found it to be a P1317 'ABS Rough Road High' fault. Dealer cleared it but it returned the next day. Since the D-90 has no ABS system to begin with it seems this just might be a bogus fault indication. I've heard it has to do with the D-90 using the computer from the Discovery which has ABS so sensors were required...blah-blah. Does anyone know if this code has any useful function and if not, can it be deactivated? The dealer wants to probe each wheel sensor to find the cause and I'm thinking differently.

This might all be much easier if I could find a shop manual for a '97 NAS Defender 90 but it seems there just ain't none nowheres.

Thanks much,

JJ

Rovers down south has the manuals for 100 or so dollars. It's where I got mine.

Thanks much Art! Found the thread on D-90 Source and lots more stuff fer my brain to ponder.
For anybody reading this thread looking for a fix, it seems the first place to start is by cleaning the sensors mounted behind the rear caliper and on the from axle.
