brake pads & plug???

Need help, The mechanic where I work offered to put front brake pads on my 96 discovery....I purchased them from napa and he started today....after doing the driver's side, he said he had no idea where the little wire with a plug went that was attached to the pad on one set....I double checked with napa that the parts are correct....can anyone help!!! thanks

I had the same problem, that plug is for the brake wear indicator, which US disco 1's don't have... Just cut it off, or tie it up.

Thanks...that's what we were hoping but I didn't want to cut anything off until I knew for sure that it didn't belong to anything attached with the abs.....Many thanks.

Since i'll be cutting the wires off...I assume it dosen't matter what side they go on.....because I can now see that the drivers side had wires previously cut off also....and my mechanic is going to put the cut one on the passenger side....Just checking...
