Brakes on DII's

My dealer just informed me that my brakes and rotors are worn out after only 24,000 miles. Oddly enough the rears are worn worse than the fronts. Is this normal? I can see maybe the front pads being worn, but I have never heard of any vehicle wearing out rotors this quickly. I just wanted to see if this typical and if anyone has found any products that last longer than the OEM parts.

common problem - if you are mechanically inclined do it yourself - very easy. Dealers suck!

I just changed out all my pads and rotars on my 1999 D2 at 35,000 miles

yep, sometimes the rears wear first on a DII

Thanks for the info, I actually ordered the high performance brake and rotor kit for Atlantic British. I have a realitive that has this kit on his disco and loves them. Oh yeah, no more break dust. It is good to know though that it may not be necessary to replace the rotors everytime. Once again, thank for all the information.
