Can you use Silicon Brake Fluid with ABS?

I have a 2002 DII w/ stock master cylinder and calipers and was wondering if its harmful to use silicon brake fluid? I've heard about the benefits of silicon Dot 5 Brake fluid, high temp rating , moisture resistance, etc... But, I've also seen the warnings regarding using Dot 5 with ABS brakes. Anyone have any experience in this regard?

Short anwser is yes, but you might get a softer pedal due to the fact that silicone compresses more that DOT 3/4.
