Hi all!
My new to me 2006 LR3 has not had the front climate fan work since I got it. I initially figured it would be one of the common parts like the resistor, blower motor, or even a relay, but after further diagnosis it seems that the climate unit won't ground out at the relay to switch on the blower. I verified this with a jumper. Once jumped everything works as it should. I also tested the wiring at the control unit and tried supplying a ground from it to see if it was a module issue. It is not.
This makes me wonder now where in the harness a break could be and if so how would you address it without taking the entire dash apart.
Additionally, I noticed the car had some debris in the engine bay and was in the woods, making me wonder if an animal could have chewed on the harness. How would I go about removing the engine bay fuse box to inspect its wiring underneath?
Thank you for any advice on this! Hoping to resolve it soon since its getting colder and a blower seems essential LOL
