D1 Power Steering again

[1st Rover]

Power steering comes and goes, tried bleeding = no bubbles. Usually has good boost when first starting out but goes away soon.

Any ideas? Pump or steering box? Repair or replace?

Sounds like a pump to me. I've been thru two boxes and there was never a change in boost whether old or new. My pump is old and at low speeds it steers about like non-power but that way it keeps wife/ daughthers away from it!

Probably

Change the pump there is a valve in there known to go bad.
