I am looking for some component speakers to put in the front doors of my DI. The space for the speakers is quite small can anyone tell me which speakers fit? I thought I remembered someone putting some some MB quart speakers in. Any help would be great.
Thanks

I had some mb quart's in another vehicle and I liked them. I would be very happy with them in my 94 disco do they fit in the doors and "A" pillar trim? I was going to get the pillar trim from a later model so I could put the tweeters in them.

I still have factory tweets in the pillar. Sorry, however, pop one out and take it to shop and find a replacement. I would think many tweets have the same size offering as the factory tweets. Not sure if MBQuart makes a tweet that size or not, but I am not so caught-up in the component-speaker-marketing pitch either, so it's not that important to my ear to have matching components. Running BFG MTs, it would not make a difference anyway for me.

I have installed a pair of nice 4inch Kenwoods for the doors, and kept the factory tweeters, had to do some cuting to acomodate the 6" for the rear pillars

Do the 4" MB's fit in the door without any modifying? Which 6" did you put in the rear pillar the two way or the componants and if the componants where did you put the tweeter?
Did you use the factory wiring or did you replace it all?

I yanked the rear subs and added a self powered Bazooka Tube, 8". Yes I know, it takes up space and such, but I rarley have to unplug it for this reason. I have to say, that tube really rocks the truck and for the money, $145 at Circuit City, can't be beat. My Pioneer deck allows crossover cutoffs so only the sub blows the lows and the four 4" MBQuartz can scream at what ever hertz I choose.
That truck rocks with best of SRV!

I have the 4 inch Refrenz Premium MB Quart in my front door and they fit fine with the supplied spacer. The tweeter that comes with the seperates kit will fit in the Apillar as well. Just take down the pillar, remove the tweeter mount, cut the factory tweeter from the mount, and silicone in the MB Quart. If you choose to add an aftermarket amplifier or head unit, you can access the speaker wires in each kick panel. If you want to replace the door subs, purchase any 6 inch woofer (not mid) that is 8 ohms and slap it in there. It will help but don't expect a miracle.
