Disco won't start. Need help.

I washed my engine compartment with garden water this weekend and I was able to start the engine but did not leave it running to heat up the engine. Two days after inside the garage, i turned the ignition key ON and it did not start. The battery is strong but it won't crank. I hear a whining sound when I turn the ignition key ON to get it started but NO CRANK, JUST WHINE. I recollect a lot of topics about this engine washing and no start problem but it's been a long time since. Need help to get my 95 auto Disco back on commission.
