Heres a question for you. When I open any of my doors and leave them open my dome lights only stay on for 10 seconds. It acts as though the door has been shut, but it is actually still open. Anyone know what causes this. I figured it would be an option in testbook, but I don't want to take it to the dealer to find out. The dome lights will not turn back on unless I close the door and open it again.

Different issue (kind of), but the multi function unit controls it. When my MFU went bad the lights would come on, but not go off. I was told the mfu of older d1's were prone to failure, 97-94. Don't know if that's true, but I got one out of a used d1 and it fixed my problem. I got it for $30 by the way, so it's not a super pricey used.

Jason,
You might want to call your mechanic and check, I think that can be reset thru the ECU using a text book.

The lights are supposed to go out. I'm guessing to prevent you from killing the battery.
10 seconds sounds short to me but I have never timed it. Make sure it's broke before spending the money.
