the EFI light on my 1988 range rover is on and i dont know what to make of it. i looked on rangerovers.net and they told me it could be coolant temp, throttle positioning sensor, O2 sensor, or the air flow sensor. my symptoms are high idling upon start up (warm) and really high when starting up cold, about 2000 rpm until i put it in gear. Im thinking its the throttle pos. sensor. any suggestions?

I saw one last Thu whose transmission kickdown cable had seized, and it was jamming the throttle linkage open. It was "idling" at ~2500RPM! Check the things you can see first.
