Exhaust manifold bolts

Anyone have any pointers on changing the passenger exhaust manifold? The 3 bolts on the downpipe are stuck rock solid to the flange and without a lift, I have to do it from the top and have had no luck budging them. I have new bolts etc so I just need to get these 3 off and the other 8 shouldnt be a big deal. Any ideas on how to loosen them in that small cramped space?

I would first suggets coating the bolts with some anti-sieze compound and letting them soak for 10 to 15 min. You can find it any any auto store. It sometimes works much better then WD-40.
As far as the tight space I don't have much to suggest except for a couple knuckle extensions on your ratchet. Be careful not to strip the threads on the head. They are extremely delicate.

Soak them with PB Blaster or the like and let it sit for a bit. Then, give them a try. If you're replacing the manifold, just turn till they snap. If you're replacing the manifold and have new hardware anyway, no biggie if they're snaped in the old one.

if you are replacing the mainfold, jsut sanp them off, they can be a real pain in the ass to get off. I have read some folks on here liek to get under the down pipe and heat up the bolts with a torch to help get them free. if PB doesn' t work and you haveaccess to a torch yer golden.
