This morning, I thought I had the rear brake issue fixed. Took the truck for a test ride around the block in our local neighborhood. Brakes felt solid. Coolant temps after the flush looked good. Truck running well after the PM work.
A dad taking his son for a driving lesson in a Tesla truck ran a stop sign and clipped me in the rear passenger quarter panel.
I pulled the car over to the side and stopped and we exchanged information. When I tried to get back in, the door wouldn’t open from the outside, the SRS light was on, and the truck wouldn’t start.
Got out, walked around the truck popped the hood. Everything looked ok. Got back in. Truck started, but the gauges aren’t working. I had my OBD tester in as I was monitoring coolant. Battery showed only 11.8v. I drove home and the brakes felt weak again. When I put a tester on that battery, it showed 12.6.
The SRS light “no start” situation is intermittent, but when I do get it started, the gauges don’t work. No temp, no temp readings, no RPM, no speedometer. Scanner shows no faults.
