Solid 2003 Land Rover Discovery II SE7. Super straight body. Good interior. 150K. Heads completely redone in 2014 ( with invoice from local shop). Starts and and idles well, with NO SERVICE ENGINE SOON light lit on and NO Three Amigos either ( ABS / TC / HDC), but has a knock ( I do not think it's sleeve chatter; sounds like a loose rod cap). No miss, no rough idle.
Fully loaded with most options except back-up sensors. Nice factory optional 18" HURRICANE alloy wheels with MICHELIN tires ( approximately 75% tread left).
I got it as a project to turn into an Overlander, but I have decided to focus my attention on finishing my DII TreK instead ( almost done!). Plus I am going on vacation for over a month, so I won't be able to put the time into it as I had originally planned.
Definitely worth fixing. You can a. drop the oil pan and go over the rod caps and check clearances, or b. you can go the engine swap route and drop a solid 4.6L for a grand ( already found one in Oakley). This is a totally rust-free CA Land Rover in the desirable SEVEN SEATER configuration, and also with FACTORY DVD SCREENS.
Nice, completely rust-free body throughout, in the really nice Epsom-green factory finish. Paint is actually nice except as pictured on the roof where the clear has done its usual number. The hood has the remnants of a large decal ( similar to my TreK), but I have been unable to figure it out. I presume it can be removed gently with a heat gun.
Alpaca interior is in good shape, with black carpeting. Dual non-leaking sunroofs. * Pictures are too large; EM me and I can send you a photo file from every angle/
Clean CA title. Currently registered until 2017. $ 1,950. Bring a trailer and take her home, or I can have it transported to just about anywhere. In California (to SoCal) for $349 door to door, or to the North Counties too.
