For sale: 1997 Discovery 1 300tdi w/autobox. This truck was built in Nashville in 2008 and has spent all but the last two years there. In the last two years, it’s called Maine it’s home. It’s been completely fluid film underneath and just received a new coating last week. The chassis and body are in excellent condition. There are no rust issues. She is not a beauty queen and has her fair share of dings but is a well-maintained, well-used truck. She has been to Moab a few times and I would not hesitate to drive her there tomorrow.
The body is a 97 SE. no sunroof and manual seats. rear window motors have been removed, and manual crank windows installed like the first 500 production models. The Center consul sports a fully lockable gun safe. airbags have been removed and a custom parcel tray has been installed on right-hand. The steering wheel has options of Momo or UK spec four spoke.
Front seats come with seat covers. all interior seats are in good shape no rips or tears. Front seats come with seat covers. The only interior issue is the headliner is starting to sag.
Dash has a Mud UK binnacle with The following VDO gauges. volts, water, oil, boost, Pyro. Dash has CB installed with an external antenna.
The engine is a 300tdi with approximately 25,000 miles from a complete rebuild including a new injection pump. Runs an automatic transmission with a 1-2 case & ENG X brake. The engine has a four-core aluminum radiator and Allisport double-core intercooler, as well as Forby, boost, pin, and boost ring.
Suspension is RTE 3” springs with RTE caster corrected front radius arms and RTE HD rear trailing arms. Shocks are Bilstein 7100 Remote Reservoirs Loop to loop. HD GBR front and rear axles. Upgraded front brakes with vented rotors and extended brake lines.
Open rear diff and front diff have Detroit true trac locker. Tom Woods front and rear HD drive shaft.
RTE front bumper with husky 10,000-pound winch and synthetic rope. Rear RTE bumper w/ High Country tire carrier & high-lift jack mount. RTE rock sliders.
Front and rear Dif guards. Fuel tank skid plate. heavy duty, Trac rod, and steering rod.
Runs wolf military rims with 265-75-16 MTs w/ less than 3k miles on them.
Safety devices, roof rack with HD waffle matting, and quickfist tool mounts.
Just installed Webasto 7-day programmable Coolant heater.
Recently installed new ignition key cylinder.
