I never have been to particular to cleaning products, like I said I've even been using some synthetic motor oil, I don't really abuse anything so it served its purpose fine. I actually watched a few youtube videos and found some interesting stuff about it compared to some of the other popular lubricants.
I didn't heat up the gun after I applied it, just did it last night. Will probably pop off a few this weekend turkey hunting to see how it works. I understand that as it heats up it will essentially self lubricate and seep out of the metal. What I really like about it is that it is biodegradable, won't ruin clothes or just plum get over everything. I like how it goes on with a brush once the gun is heated up, really like the paste (though this is the first paste lubricant I've ever used). It is time consuming with letting it treat for an hour before wiping off, but the best thing I like about it is that it dry until it heats up, no mess.
Here is the youtube video, I chuckle at some of these youtube gun nut people, but basically I found what I was looking for, which CLP did the best job in the worst conditions. And again, the fact that the weapon is dry once its treated until you fire is pretty cool.
Scott...I remember my feurst beer!
