 Anyone have this problem? I have been told that it was the fuel sending unit or a bad gas gauge. The gas gauge stays at empty with the empty light on all the time. Does anyone have experience or advise in this matter?

Do you by chance live in South Florida? A couple of months ago Shell reported that they they're gasoline which was sold primarily in the Miami/Lauderdale are had high levels of sulfur. They found out that this had somehow destroyed thousands of fuel gauges on many different cars. Shell is currently replacing all of these gauges for free.
Just thought you might want to know in case this happened to you.

I do not live there now, i live in PA but I did live in Miami for 12 years. Do you have any other information on how I can find out if this would actually pertain to me. Thanks, Glen H
