In lieu of the archives being up and running, does anyone have information regarding the removal and refit of the headliner (straightforward enough I think), and the replacement of the sunroof rail kits?
I remember a fairly detailed How-To in the archive, but I'm going to be performing this over the next week and could use the help before the archives come back up.
I'm going to tint the windows, run a CB antenna and pre-wire for roof-rack lights (similar to Steve Rupp's set up- very cool) at the same time so it's a pretty good project to tackle all things at once.
I've got a 96 D1 with rear AC (just a FEW extra parts to remove).
Any tips or gotchas to avoid would be appreciated.
I'm looking to replace the sunroof parts with new factory parts from the dealer here in Denver ($65/sunroof, less 10% for frequent buyer)- seem reasonable or are there other sources for these parts?
