I joined your ranks today with a 2007 LR3 SE V8. I sure hope that I don't have to spend much time in this section... Maybe she'll be a good "truck" for my DD.

I too just bought one. Picked it up for the wife on Monday... Sweet ride, now I need to find a tow receiver for less than 300 bucks. Freaking stupid!

doubt that will happen - if anyone knows, Chapman might because they towed his Disco with the LR3. No one I have heard of makes an aftermarket copy of the funky quick release receiver.

What's $300 for the right part though? does that include the wiring kit?

This is Land Rover we're talking about, what do you think? I got the harness & receiver for a good deal through Will Tillery.

Congrats you two, may all your miles be happy ones :D

Champana- welcome. I just bought a 06 V8 and loving it thus far. I really like the Mentone area, beautiful country- was a camper and counselor at a camp up there.

Buy Rovers- I'm in the same situation, the cheapest place I've found is at http://www.rovercity.com/LR3/Acc/lr31.html. Anyone had any dealings with these guys? The quick-release receiver there is $255!

Maybe it's just me, but I'd hesitate doing business with someone who is my "best source for premium Land Rover parts, accessories and information", who thinks a Land Rover model is the "Discoverer".

But that's just me.
And they have nothing for my truck anyway.

Thanks for pointing that out, the "discoverer" -that's funny. Rover Connection is another good accessory place & usually has best prices.
